Here is a stout, big boned, shapey dun gelding that has everyone turning their heads. “Simon” is 8 years old and has done just about a little of everything. He’s been trail ridden extensively, used in a few cowboy obstacle challenges and also knows what it takes to put in a days work on the ranch. “Simon” is very friendly and has a big, kind eye. He is super quiet, always willing to do what you ask of him. We have ridden him all over the place, and have even taken him to Downtown Fort Worth, TX and hopped on him and rode him right through the historic Stockyards. Nothing bothered him — honking cars, people, dogs, loud music, you name it! He will cross deep water, step over logs, and navigate himself through the rocks safely. “Simon” has a great neck rein and is very simple & uncomplicated to ride. He never gets in a hurry, but will cover some ground when asked. He is a very fluid mover, and has a fancy trot and lope. Picks up both leads and lopes circles with ease, and has a good stop and back up. Rides out great alone or in a group - doesn’t get in a rush when headed back to the barn or trailer. I can’t say it enough, this gelding is so easy to ride and get along with! “Simon” stands to be groomed, saddled, picks up all 4 feet, loads and unloads like a dream, and will stand tied all day. This gelding is suitable for any job, whether you’re wanting something quiet, solid and sturdy to trail ride on, a big gelding to use on the ranch, or something to even take into the roping pen and make a head horse out of. He stands 15/15.1 hands, weighs about 1150, is sound, sane, and ready to go.
