Family owned / operated guest ranch seeking applicants for winter season guide positions. Job involves guiding, developing horses, shoeing, some packing and ranch work. Rough scenic country in Baboquivari Mountains SW of Tucson. Job includes monthly salary, guaranteed portion of gratuity pool, full room and board and additional gratuity paid at end of season. Ranch raises cross bred Thor-Perch-1/4 horse type and buys young horses, so developing horses for guest use is part of job. Excellent opportunity for someone really interested in horses, backcountry, and learning new skills and country. Must be willing and physically able to shoe ~ basic skills ideal.
