Description:
Buena Vista Ranch is a 3,000 acre private hunting preserve and cattle operation located in southwestern Missouri. We are looking for 2 interns to work for us from August 1st-early December. In the summer cattle work is paramount along with hunting season preparation. The fall is focused entirely on hunting and guest stays. The purpose of this internship is to create a mutually beneficial relationship with students aspiring to hold a wildlife or agricultural career after graduation. We expect students to come willing to learn and work as if it were a full time position.



Job Description:

• Hunting blind placement and maintenance

• Guiding hunts

• Entertaining guests

• Aging and Scoring whitetails

• Scouting for game and running trail cameras

• Field dress and butcher animals

• Mowing and landscaping as needed

• Chemical weed control

• Fill and repair protein and corn feeders

• Operate atvs/utvs

• Operate tractors, shredder and disc

• Predator Control

• Washing and upkeep of equipment and vehicles

• Prepare for guest stays and hunts

• Lodge clean up after guests leave

• Feeding and working cattle

• Water system maintenance and repair





Prerequisites:

• Must be willing to learn

• Must be in good physical condition

• Willing to work odd hours

• Maintain a positive attitude

• Hunting experience required

• Must be responsible and respectful

• Willing to work with others and sometimes alone
