This horse has a very kind disposition. He is extremely gentle and very smooth to ride. Neck reins and moves of leg cues with ease. Will lope out from a walk with a super smooth and easy to sit to slow lope. Stops, backs up, rolls back and side passes with ease as well. Smoky is extremely quiet minded and is very settled and solid to ride out. He crosses the river, small streams, bridges and down timber as well as anything else we ask him to cross like tarps mud or whatever. He is happy to lead or follow and rides quietly in large groups and out alone. Dependable and sure footed in deep rocky terrain and is always well mannered and dependable. Smoky is also very good to ride around our busy neighborhood streets. Barking dogs, bicycles, motorcycles and other fast passing vehicles are all things he is fine with. Smoky rides with the flag and also has roping experience. He has been used on the ranch for all the ranch chores including gathering, pasture roping and in the cattle sale pans. This is an exceptionally good natured, good minded and gentle gelding that most anyone would be very proud of.
