This horse is quiet and gentle enough for absolutely anyone to ride - He is kid safe and grandma approved! “Fred” has a good stop, is light & responsive in the bridle & neck reins with ease. His gaits are as smooth as glass; has a slow, easy jog and a rocking horse lope. Rides great in & out of the arena, and is the same whether he’s alone or in a group. He is quiet and simple enough to ride that you can throw a child or a beginner on him and know that he will take care of them or you can put a more advanced rider on him and he is an absolute blast to ride, he is very broke and has lots of buttons but will also quiet down and ride around on a loose rein with his head down for a less experienced rider. He has that rare ability to adjust to whoever is on his back and not take advantage of them! He is very sweet and forgiving of a rider that might make unintentional cues - he’s a true babysitter. “Fred” has been used in the feed yard to sort cattle, extensively trail ridden in the mountains - he’s very sure footed and knows how to navigate through steep/rocky terrain, used in many parades, local shows/4-H events - you name it, he has done a little bit of everything and would be great for a rider that wants to do it all! He would also be a solid mount for ranch horse competitions, or trail obstacle challenges.
