She is 7 years old, 15.2 hh and approximately 1200 pounds, with a big hip, wide chest, a ton of bone and a pretty head with a kind eye. Cricket has been used on the ranch and ridden on trails, but has the athletic ability to make a performance horse. She has been used to push and sort cattle, and we have also played around with her on the barrels and poles. Cricket is quiet and good minded but very quick footed with a big motor and a ton of speed when you ask her for it, and would make a fantastic barrel horse or head horse, or even a competitive trail horse. She is very broke with an excellent handle, and will sidepass, work a gate, and will flex both vertically and laterally. Cricket is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. She rides quietly on a loose rein, won’t go any faster than you ask her to but is very responsive to her rider. She is not mare-ish and will get along with mares and geldings in a herd. Cricket will go up, over or through anything you point her at, and is very sure footed. She can be ridden by herself or with a large group of horses with no problem. She will leave the group willingly and will happily lead or follow. Cricket has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and is not bothered by it. This is a nice young horse that is ready for someone to take her to the next level. She sells as GRADE and we do not know how she is bred.
