Description:
Excellent pre-owned bit by long time maker Don Rogers of Herford, Texas. This is a unique example of combining Texas and California traditions. The shanks and mouth-piece are common to Texas while the slobber bar and loose shanks and rein chains are popular in California style bits. Full silver overlay on the entire shanks including the bridle rings plus the slobber bar. Five copper conchos plus copper covered rein swivels are mighty easy to look at, as is the intricate engraving. Measurements are 7” cheeks, 5 1/16” mouthpiece. The slightly flattened curb is 2 ¼” high. Great bit to use or collect.
