Cattle Foreman

Hidalgo, Coahuila



Implements safety policies, aiding in the development of ranch personnel, inventory management, budgeting, and assists in a growing registered and commercial cow-calf operation. Oversees and maintains all herd management with the assistance of ranch hands for weekly feeding and assessment. Maintains projects and cattle operations when management is away from the ranch.



Additional Duties include:

•Coordinates registered and commercial cattle management strategies.

•Conducts artificial breeding/techniques and sonogram usage.

•Reviews grazing management.

•Inspects brush spraying, root plowing, roller chopping/seeding, fence building, pen building, and water resource development.

•Performs basic accounting and contract administration.

•Must be Bilingual English/Spanish



Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises varies employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



Education and Experience

• Bachelors in Animal Science

• 5 to 10 years of experience

• Cattle Breeding Systems

• Vaccination programs

• Computer Livestock record keeping

• International importing and exporting of cattle

• BQA Standards – low stress cattle handling

• Grazing/Range management practices

• Stocker feeding operations

• Cattle nutrition
