Blue Belle

2011 – 15.1H – 1350# - Blue Roan - Mare

Blue Belle is a big girl with a gentle disposition, home raised on a ranch in Thermopolis, Wyoming, and came to us as a 4-year-old. Owned by our 16-year-old daughter, she has spent the last couple years working with her to be gentle and easy with a goal to make her into a solid trail, ranch or kid’s horse. We believe she is well on her way to be just that. Our daughter has introduced several scenarios to her, including a little basketball and pulling a sled for winter fun! Built for the mountains or ranch setting.



Belle should fit most intermediate level of riders, we rate her as a 4 for disposition but do not recommend her as a kid’s horse quite yet. Started with a rope, she will log and pull from the horn. No bad habits, easy to catch, load, saddle, bridle and get along with. If you like a big, pretty, gentle mare that cinches deep with a lot of foot and bone then you will want to look at this stout made, kind eyed, gentle mare.

She came from great bloodlines of the famous Spratt Ranch but was not registered. Her mother (dam) is registered as Shawne Leo Bug and goes back to the Hancock bloodline of Blue Valentine. Her father (sire) was registered as Paddys Profit and goes back to the Driftwood bloodline. This gentle mare wears a size 2 shoe and will make a great trail horse, ranch horse or bell mare to match up nicely leading a string of mules.



UPDATE: After extensive training and riding, we have discovered she has a very small bone chip in her right knee. This can be resolved with a simple surgery to remove or maintenance. She has never taken a lame step! Slight swelling when ridden hard. She has a lot of life left and we are willing to let her go to the right home with the understanding of this new information.
