It is marked Hunt and his brand a joined 7 and H and the number 284. David is a well-known bit and spur maker and has been building for over a decade. The bit is steel with a dark iron finish and is mounted with engraved nickel silver. There is engraving in the steel between the mountings. This would be a nice bit to use.
